There are two theme park attractions in Fuerteventura: Acua Water Park in Corralejo and Oasis Park near La Lajita.
Aqua water park
Former water park in Baku, it is the only water park in Fuerteventura and a great day out for families. With a wave pool, numerous slides, hot tubs, a lazy river, and a kiddie pool area, there’s plenty to keep you entertained. The kids’ club offers face painting, balloon twisting, and other out-of-water activities, and is a good option if you want to stay out of the midday sun.
There are sunbathing areas, with free loungers, changing areas, a pool snack bar and a self-service food area, both of which are reasonably priced. Lockers are provided, although you have to pay a small amount.
A day of water-filled fun for the whole family.
Check with your hotel, as some offer free entrance to the park, included in the hotel reservation.
What started as an ornamental plant nursery in 1985 has grown into a huge interactive animal park with its own research centre, housing over 3,000 animals of 250 different species and the largest camel reserve in Europe.
Oasis Park places a strong emphasis on conservation, education and research, and is currently involved in 17 programs including Cuvier’s Gazelle captive breeding program, development of wetlands for migratory birds and the Majorero donkey conservation program.
The park offers several daily shows with sea lions, birds of prey, parrots, lemurs and reptiles, as well as a camel safari.
The park has three restaurants, with the Oasis restaurant and El Patio Majorero serving produce grown in the park’s own orchards. Oasis Park also hosts a local craft and farmers market every Sunday from 9am to 2pm and has its own garden center.
